ascension art

amazing stuff in progress

Hi, hello! You have found your way here to the most unexpected of soulful expressions ~ I am still a little surprised to call myself an artist, nevertheless, that is what I am.

I create sometimes digitally, sometimes analogue with brushpens and paper. This here is the part with the digital art.

Nothing is done with a purpose or an intention ~ I simply go with a feeling, a spark, a vague idea of, "Wouldn't it be neat if ...?" And then see what happens.

As a result, a lot of what I do is abstract art. Or surreal. Or both. Sometimes, there is a cat involved.

All of my art is spiritual, as it is an authentic expression of my soul.

Here I am sharing that which is explicitly spiritual art. (Or a favourite. Because spreading the joy is love.)

the evolution of ascension art

This part of the journey began in summer 2022. And it began with a story: in the face of your light, an epic tale in every sense of the word, by noverture. More than 500k words, and even three days after I'd finished it, it would not leave me. My mind, my emotions were still almost bound into that story. On day three, I ccaught myself judging my ongoing enthusiasm and delight and internal squeeing ~ that's childish, a voice said, and went about supressing the feeling. That's what caught my attention, and ~ no. This story deserved to be squee'd over. And the feeling deserved expression.

So I asked myself, "How do I express this?"

At first I thought to write something, a little tale set in the same universe, something like that. But that didn't feel right. It felt too limiting ~actually gave me a headache.

Okay, so, then art? Yes, that felt more aligned. But how? All I'd been doing, art-wise, until that point was squiggling. What could I do?

Long story short: I set out to create cover art. With no skills and Microsoft paint as my only tool. Then I shared it. Nobody looked at it, but I was not deterred. Something had sparked inside of me. I kept creating more artwork for the story. And exploring other options, other tools ~ that led me to paint.net. And once I'd figured out how to layer things ... it was as if creativity simply EXPLODED out of me. I could not stop creating. For hours on end, abundant like nature herself creates.

And the most beautiful thing about all of it was this: None of it was done with any kind of intention. I was literally creating for the sake of the process of discovery of what it was that I was creating.

It felt magical. It was effortless. It just was.

That was the birth of ascension art. Some of it speaks directly about or into the Shift. Some of it is more fully an expression of creating in and through the Shift. All of it is spiritual art in the sense that it is a direct, full expression of Soul.

And now I'm sharing it here as well.
