Creating for the sake of creating opens a direct channel to the Soul. And the Soul speaks through the creation.

It speaks of a journey ...

The Bug's Journey

The bug crawled along the seemingly endless piece of wood. It was looking for a way up, but the wood was too smooth for it to crawl up, and it seemed to go on forever. The bug was getting a little tired and feeling quite desperate and hopeless. Where was the way up? It needed to get up and out of this neverending smoothness.

Something touched its back and it froze. Warmth. It was warm.

The warmth didn't do anything. It was just there. Embracing the bug.

The bug relaxed and enjoyed the warmth.

It could look for a way up later.

This little drabble of a story arose from my spiritual practice, and when I looked at it afterwards, I felt a little stunned just how much a mere 101 words can say.

So I felt to share with you, this story, and also an invitation ~ sit back, relax, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths; and contemplate the question:

How does the bug's journey speak into your own right now?

For all things are connected through the quantum field. There are no conincidences. You reading this means there is something in you that drew this energy, this story.

What does the mirror tell you?

For me, this little story, written because there was time left, an exploration of "Can I tell a little story in 100 words?" more than anything else.

It was an experience, this story, full of unexpected twists in the writing. Yes, in so few words!

Also, a beautiful summary of what I had been exploring today.

So, for me, this story speaks ~ of surrendering to the moment; letting that which you have been efforting towards rest when the invitation presents. Surrender to the moment, but more than that: take a close, honest look at what the moment actually requires of you.

Are you meant to keep going? Or are you invited to take a break, rest, just be, and let finding a solution be something a future version of yourself can deal with?

Although, the original inspiration was a little spider that keeps running across the counter in my kitchen (the bench, for you Kiwis out there). I had to fish the little fellow out of the sink the other day, where he had got himself stuck. And then there was the image of sunlight shining through the kitchen window onto the wooden cutting board.

And there is the story.

Amazing, isn't it?
